Keith Brymer Jones is a master ceramicist and design expert who has over four decades of knowledge and experience under his belt. He is the designer behind the award-winning Keith Brymer Jones Word Range and also works collaboratively with both British & International designers, artists, illustrators & fashion houses.

After an early career devoted to ceramics, Keith created pots and different shapes for a string of large retailers including Laura Ashley, Heals, Monsoon, Habitat and Conran. In 2008, he met his business partner, Dominic Speelman and subsequently joined MAKE International as Director and Head of Design. They set up a studio in a converted bakery based in Whitstable along the Kent coastline. Keith designs every single item on his potter’s wheel before he takes the prototypes to China to work with his colleagues at the factories. Keith visits the factories at least twice a year to meet with his quality control team on the factory floor to ensure the highest standard of quality is maintained.

During lockdown, Keith was holed up in his Whitstable based studio with a lot of stoneware clay. Keith had often been fascinated by different clays giving you a different aesthetic. He wanted to produce a range that was more organic in both its look and approach to that of the Word Range.

The main body of this ceramic stoneware jug is glazed but the bottom of the jug remains unglazed revealing a contrasting rougher and more organic texture.

This ceramic stoneware jug pours exquisitely, holding 400ml and comes in sky blue with a distinctive red wavy line. Fear not, the jug is both dishwasher and microwave safe.
