Often described as ‘cult Brit homewares brand’, Mini Moderns was established in 2006 by London based designers, Keith Stephenson and Mark Hampshire. Working from their Camberwell studio, the brand specialises in applied pattern across a range of products, including wallpapers, fabrics, cushions, bedding and ceramics. The duo’s design influences encompass mid-century British textiles, ceramics and collectibles. Sharing a passion for social history, Mark and Keith’s work is often informed by music, literature and travel, leading them to describe their design ethos as ‘pattern with a story’.

Mini Moderns joint creative directors Keith Stephenson and Mark Hampshire’s collective design experience spans fashion, product and interiors, as well as corporate branding and design. The pair met whilst working in a London branding and design agency and immediately bonded over their love of mid-century design. Finding the world of corporate design too restricting, Mark and Keith followed their joint passion for interiors, reigniting people’s interest in wallpaper design with their first collection. What was originally intended as a creative outlet quickly established itself as a successful business, and Mini Moderns now sells throughout the UK, Europe, the U.S. and Australia.

As well as launching their own collections, Mini Moderns have worked on many commissions in the culture sector, including collaborations with the Courtauld Gallery, Southbank Centre, National Theatre, London Transport Museum, Turner Contemporary and Museum of London.

Mark and Keith first met Keith Brymer Jones when they were all exhibiting at a London trade show in 2015. The collaboration is finally here and we bring you ‘the Modern Kitchen Collection‘ range of ceramic mugs – a selection of exquisite designs curated by Keith Brymer Jones.
