DATE FOR SERIES 2 OF THE GREAT POTTERY THROW DOWN ANNOUNCED!

SO WE’VE BEEN WAITING A LONG TIME NOW…BUT FINALLY WE HAVE A DATE FOR THE BRAND NEW SERIES OF THE GREAT POTTERY THROW DOWN!

KEITH BRYMER JONES WILL BE GRACING OUR SCREEN AGAIN FROM THURSDAY 2ND FEBRUARY AT 8PM ON BBC2!

Here’s what sky had yo say about it:

‘Following a successful first series, The Great Pottery Throw Down returns with 10 brand new home potters – each hoping to become the champion in clay. Created by Love Productions (The Great British Bake Off) and filmed at a working pottery, it also welcomes back popular host Sara Cox and judges master potter Keith Brymer Jones and ceramic artist Kate Malone. Over the course of eight episodes and 24 mammoth challenges, our 10 passionate and creative potters are pushed to the limit as they are tasked with making everything from a set of jugs to a toilet. And there’s no such thing as an easy start to the series either. Episode one has the potters throwing and decorating an identical 16-piece dinner set, as well as having to impress a surprise guest judge – famous ceramic designer Emma Bridgewater. Each episode features three key challenges designed to test skills and showcase the craftsmanship required to transform clay into stunning objects. Each show’s main make takes five days to complete, while the other two challenges are shorter, with one being a throw down at the wheel and the other designed to test broader pottery skills. In each episode, one of the contestants is crowned Top Potter, while one is eliminated and has to leave the pottery for good. With a fantastic competition at its core, this series is also packed with facts and information about the role of pottery in our history, as well as its significance and popularity today.’

WE, HERE AT KBJ HQ, CANNOT WAIT!
