What is Flourish?

Flourish is a two day conference run by the Talent Development team at Crafts Council which aims to ignite creative business ambitions. Held in Armourers Hall, Flourish brings together leading industry experts to share, debate and network.

What can you expect?

The event is deigned to ignite your creative ambitions by bringing together leading industry experts to help you start, build and sustain a successful business. Topics will range from practical advice on finance and copyright laws to how to create a strong brand identity and build resilience into your business. The keynote address will come from Christain Manz, an award-winning visual effects artist, and there will be speakers from Foxall Studio, Briffa, Creative Industries Finance and, of course, Crafts Council. Come and share, debate and network over the two days!

What will Keith be doing?

Keith will be taking part in a breakout discussion discussing ‘Working with Manufacturers’. It will begin at 2.10pm and will be with Charles Dedman, an independent furniture maker, and Emily Johnson, chair of a design-led ceramics brand based in Stoke on Trent.

Who should be attending?

This event has been structured to ensure there will be something for everyone along with an excellent opportunity to meet other makers. This informal and engaging two days will ignite confidence in attendees so that they may be active in conversation, debate and be inspired. Mornings will provide you with key food for thought and afternoons enable you to discuss key questions about your practice with other delegates, experts and the Crafts Council Talent Development team.
