So, I think we can safely say that the British summer has well and truly arrived- hooray!
With day after day of gorgeous sunshine what better excuse is there to throw your very own British garden tea party? Cue the cupcakes, Pimms, tea, bunting and mountains of sandwiches. We’ve rounded up the essentials you’ll need from Keith Brymer Jones to serve your garden tea parties in style!
So let us start with the sarnies, prepare some of your favourite classics, I’m thinking cheese and pickle, I’m thinking ham and cucumber, I’m thinking smoked salmon and cream cheese- oh the possibilities! And present them on one of our lovely platters.
Now no tea party is complete without that oh so essential TEA- So stick that kettle on! And serve in one of our beautiful Teapots. How many sugars do you take? Milk or no milk?
As we all know these are very important questions here in England. So however your guests take their tea, be ready with your sugar bowl and milk jug at hand! And nothing quite says eloquent tea party like a sophisticated tea cup and saucer. Lifting of little finger as you sip optional! Why not get a bit Martha Stewart and bake your own cupcakes and biscuits? Or just simply buy some and serve them on our cake plate to give them that homemade look- we won’t tell if you don’t! (Top tip- hide packaging carefully and just smile and nod as your guests shower you in praise!)
Whatever it is you decide to do, our unique designs will add an extra spoon full of sugar to your summer tea party- Pun intended!
